Marketing speed figures describe the fastest the toolhead ever moves in a straight line — not the speed you'll see across an entire real print.
Small, detailed parts with lots of direction changes rarely reach headline speeds, since acceleration and cornering dominate the time budget more than top speed does.
Input shaping and vibration compensation, now common on CoreXY machines, matter more for real-world speed than the peak mm/s number alone, because they let a printer hold quality at higher accelerations.
A fair comparison looks at total print time for the same real object across machines, not the spec sheet's top speed figure.
