Overview

The Kobra 3 V2 is an incremental hardware update to the original Kobra 3, reviewed by Tom's Hardware as having "subtle but significant" changes. The build volume grows slightly to 255 x 255 x 260 mm, the hotend is borrowed from the Kobra S1 to reduce leaking, the Y-axis is extended and now runs on upgraded SG15 bearings, and LeviQ 3.0 handles auto-leveling. A 720p camera, optional on the original Kobra 3, is now standard. According to Tom's Hardware, the biggest improvements are actually in software — a reworked Anycubic Slicer with finer control over purge waste, and firmware that lets the printer accept jobs directly from OrcaSlicer. The review also found the camera and new hotend can be retrofitted onto older Kobra 3 units rather than requiring a full upgrade. This Combo bundle adds the ACE Pro unit for four-color printing out of the box (eight with a second unit, sold separately), plus active filament drying. Nozzle temperature stays at 300°C — it does not get the 350°C hotend update found on the Kobra 3 Max V2. This is a sensible pick for buyers who want the latest Kobra 3-generation software and camera with multicolor included.
