Overview
The Kobra S1 Max is Anycubic's largest enclosed CoreXY printer, stepping up from the standard Kobra S1's 250mm cube to a 350 x 350 x 350 mm build volume. Unlike the standard S1, its chamber is actively heated (up to 65°C), rather than simply retaining ambient heat, which better supports printing with warp-prone engineering filaments at this larger scale. It uses a quick-release hardened-steel hotend reaching 350°C and a PEI spring-steel bed heated to 120°C, with LeviQ automatic bed leveling and a 4.3" capacitive touchscreen. Combo kits for this line include a 0.6mm hardened-steel nozzle, which Anycubic's own lab testing rates at roughly 6x the service life of a standard brass nozzle. At around 25.7 kg and 502.7 x 483 x 584 mm, it's a substantial desktop machine. This base model ships as a single-color printer; the actively-heated chamber and larger CoreXY platform are its core differentiators versus the standard S1, while multicolor capability is reserved for the Kobra S1 Max Combo, which bundles an ACE 2 Pro unit for up to 16-color printing. Noise levels are reported inconsistently across sources (roughly 44-55 dB depending on mode and measurement method), rising somewhat when chamber heating is active.
