Overview
The Eazao Bio is a direct-extrusion printer built for viscous fluids rather than melted plastic filament, a lab and research tool rather than a conventional FDM or resin printer. Material is loaded into a 30ml barrel (as little as 5ml is enough for a test run) and extruded using regulated air pressure rather than a mechanical screw or gear, through interchangeable nozzles from 0.1mm up to 1.5mm. A precision pressure-regulating valve controls output air pressure across a 0-1 MPa range, with the exact minimum pressure depending on the material being printed, typically around 0.1-0.2 MPa for common ceramic slurries. It's aimed at researchers and labs working with viscous ceramic and bioceramic materials such as ZrO2, SiC, Al2O3, hydroxyapatite (HA), and biphasic calcium phosphate (BCP). Designs are prepared and sliced using standard slicing software (Cura, Simplify3D), with the printer itself running on Windows, Mac, or Linux. The base model prints along a continuous path; an optional air control box (sold separately) adds support for discontinuous printing.
