Qidi Box

Overview

The Qidi Box is Qidi's answer to Bambu Lab's AMS and Anycubic's ACE systems, a sealed, actively drying filament storage unit that feeds multiple spools directly into a compatible Qidi printer. It starts with 4 spool slots and can be expanded to 16, taking standard 1.75mm filament on spools between 50 and 72mm wide and 195 to 202mm in diameter. Drying runs automatically during printing at up to 65C, and it covers a wide range of materials including PLA, ABS, ASA, PA, PC, PET, PETG, PPS, and wood filled PLA. A sealed chamber with desiccant and a real time temperature and humidity display keeps stored spools dry between prints. This is not a one size fits all accessory. Qidi sells the Box in separate hardware versions matched to specific printers, so the version you choose has to match the printer you are feeding it into. We currently stock the versions built for the Max4 and the Q2, selectable below. Installing the Box turns a Qidi printer with an open filament port into a true multi material setup, with the drying chamber meaning damp PETG or nylon no longer has to be dried separately before a print. It pairs naturally with anything printed in more than one color or material on a compatible Qidi machine.
