Overview
The QIDI Plus5 is a CoreXY FDM 3D printer built for speed and a wide range of materials. It prints at up to 600mm/s with acceleration up to 20,000mm/s², driven by a CoreXY motion system on 1.5GT belts with dual independent Z-axis lead screw motors for stability at speed. The hotend reaches 370°C and the heated bed 120°C, so it isn't limited to PLA — PETG, ABS, TPU, PA, PC, and carbon- or glass-fiber composites are all supported. The build chamber is fully enclosed with active heating up to 65°C, which keeps warping-prone engineering materials like ABS and nylon printing reliably, and a 3-stage air filtration system (pre-filter, HEPA, activated carbon) cuts down on fumes and odor indoors. Bed leveling is automatic, using a load-cell sensor built into the hotend itself rather than a separate probe. It ships with a double-sided PEI magnetic plate and a 0.4mm bimetal nozzle, with 0.2mm and 0.6mm sizes available separately. A 5-inch touchscreen, dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi, and compatibility with the QIDI Box (for multi-color/multi-material printing) round out the feature set. It's a strong fit for makers and small workshops who want one machine that handles both everyday PLA prints and tougher engineering filaments without needing a second printer. As with any high-speed CoreXY machine, getting the most out of 600mm/s speeds requires well-tuned filament and settings.
